Speaking at the 3rd Turkish-British Business Forum which took start on Friday in Istanbul, British Trade Minister Lord Stephen Green said that when assessing Turkey from a trade point of view, there is a big strategic partnership opportunity comes out. He noted that when British companies come over toTurkey, they get surprised with the high number of opportunities.

Lord Green underlined that they see Turkey as an strategic country and added, "We are the biggest support of Turkey's EU accession. When Turkeybecomes a full member, it will benefit to EU more than the union benefits to Turkey."
Furthermore, Green informed attendees of the forum about the Group Florence Nightingale hospitals that they will be launching a new hospital in London soon and added that it is not well known that the hospital group belongs to Turkish.
Green explained that one of their highest priorities is to improve economic relations with Turkey.
Green came together with the senior managers of five Turkish companies which made investments in Britain and said, "Britain became the biggest investor country in Turkey in first half of this year. We think that many British companies can contribute to the Turkish economy. This is my third visit to Turkey in the last 18 months. This shows the importance attached by the British government to Turkey in the investments and trading fields. Alongside India and Brazil, Turkey is on the list of Britain's highest priority to increase economic relations."
